    I would think yes, it can be slowed or maybe completely halted, but it will never become publicly available. Living for a long time MAY be nice, but overpopulation would kick in after 30 years and then we’d really be screwed.

    overpopulation wouldnt be a problem as couples would merely postpone childbirth till later years (as the trend currently is to do so). 100 years ago, it was common to see a 14 yr old birth her first child. now, its common to see a 30 yr old birth her first. as lifespan increases, lifecycle events distribute portionally to the increase in time.

    could these things in this article ever take place? i honestly dont know. if you could find me a shorter article, i might be able to read all of it. only then i could give you an answer.

    First, I don’t think you can categorize aging as a disease. But, can it be slowed? Absolutely.. In just a few generations we’ve seen a major increase in the median lifespan (this probably attributed to early disease detection and treatment as well as healthier habits). It’s only a matter of time before someone creates a treatment to slow the biological processes of aging. Hope I’m around when they do—I could use a little of that…..
